Tickle, tickle

The journey into parenthood brings with itself many changes into one's life - among others, the obsession about following 'milestones' - when your baby first held their head, the first time they rolled over, the first smile, is he sitting yet? crawling yet? walking? talking? reading? Very few people though seem to watch for one of the most important milestones of a newborn baby: the day the baby first becomes ticklish! Babies are not born ticklish - at least, they won't laugh from day one when tickled with the tip of your finger, or better yet - with your nose! For this reason, I have been religiously tickling Taj every day when I change his diaper, and have been awaiting the passage of this one milestone with a lot of excitement.

Well, the day has arrived! Yesterday, Jamila tickled Taj on his legs, and managed to produce quite a few baby giggles that way. What a delight that is!!
