It's a baby boy!

Wowzers! At 5pm, a beautiful baby boy joined her big sister Nalini as stars of the household. It was an absolutely amazing experience, and we were very lucky to be assisted by the very talented midwives of the Awakenings Birth Services. We also are very grateful for Anita and Jesse for doing so much work in coordinating, as well as Joanna, Bla, and Aparna for contributing so much support and assistance. A special thank you also to Dan and Kara, who was kind enough to provide a wonderful massage to Ana.

Thank you everyone for your support and love -Ana, Jamila, Nalini and baby boy!

Baby's measurements are:
Weight: 7lbs 11oz /3.49kg
Length: 20.75ins/52.7cms

Baby opened his eyes right away, and was quick to find it's way to Ana's nipple as well it's own thumb! Jamila did just a fine job in cutting the umbilical cord and he's now holding the baby comfortably in his arms just like a proud father should! Ana is about to take a nap with Nalini - they've all had a very exciting and eventful day! - Blaith

Hi Nalini. You know what, your baby brother looks a lot like you when you were born. He is as beautiful as you. And I love you both sooooooo very, very much! Beijos da vovó
P.S. a happy-proud brasilian grandma is forever grateful to all you guys who were there to help and participate! I must confess, a little jealous and envious too...
abraços carinhosos!

Eureca!!!! Jenny was soooo right. One look at him + one thought about the time he was born, and I had the precious insight I was searching for *before : To me he looks like "LEO", don't you all agree.? That is a short international name, with a strong and good meaning. He was born under a full moon in leo..! The interesting part about my free association is that I do not believe, or even understand, astrology and related subjects. I am much more down to earth, where a lion and its meanings do make a lot of sense too. Good luck with your research.
Grandma's first brainstorm about this issue...

How about "Jelani"? Sounds good with Nalini? and it means "mighty". Also, check out a cool website: www.thenamemachine.com which tells you about the popularity of different names over time. (I also like Jalen/Jaylen/Jeylen)
