Here the same moment captured from a different angle:
And a beautiful moment here, captured just a few hours later, when Nalini and Taj woke up and rushed upstairs to meet the little one:
Later that day, after a good change of clothes, posing for the camera:
We had a beautiful delivery under water at our home - but more to that later, when I finally find some time to sit down and put all of my feelings and memories of that wonderful moment together. For now, I just would like to thank our midwives, Juli and Deborah, for making this beautiful experience possible, as well as our loving friends Philipp, Barbara, Caio, Anita, Kara and Aparna for literally getting out of their way (it was Memorial Day weekend, and they were all out of town!) to come and help at this memorable moment! Each one of them contributed in a unique way to make this a special moment, and I'll be forever thankful for their presence then and there.
Needless to say that Papai was the biggest help and the biggest inspiration during the whole thing - I am so blessed to have him at my side during the most meaningful moments in my life.
Please keep watching for more updates and pictures - it is more then time that this blog gets a "come back"!!

Hey, he's here! Fantastic! I hope everyone is getting a lot of rest and that Nalini and Taj are enjoying their new baby brother!
I assume you already know that you and Marianne had babies within hours of each other on Memorial Day? What a coincidence!
Love,
EMILY
Congratulations! He's a cutie for sure. Now comes the tricky task of picking a good name for him. I look forward to seeing him again, but I won't be able to come down tomorrow evening with Anita. I can't believe that you and Marianne gave birth on the same day. That's amazing.
If it's a name you're after, may I suggest Nymbler?

Jesse--I heard from Sheila that you guys are pregnant--congrats! Keep us updated!
I thought the name you were suggesting was "Nymbler", Emily. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why!
Congratulations to you, too, Anita and Jesse!
Katherine
