Saturday Morning Routine

I know it's hard to believe. Us having a routine, a morning (!) routine - and on Saturdays, of all days! Unbelievable! And that so quickly after our third baby was born. I know, I know. But this is how things developed this past Saturday morning...

Early, early in the morning, somebody opened his eyes - peekaboo! After spending quite a few time schmoozing in bed with Mamae, the little baby then got transfered into Papai's arms with the task to put him (Papai) back to sleep. Needles to say that the baby performed his task really well!

At the same time - at the crack of dawn (maybe 8:30am - come on, it was Saturday!) - screams and giggles were echoing from the other bedroom. Two little people were wrestling on their bed like little puppies:

And then the most important question of the morning popped up: Who's a hungry bungry? Nani screams: Me!!, Taj repeats: Hungy Bungy.

That can only lead to breakfast time - which the kids call picnic time for whatever reason. The special of the day? Yummy home made waffles, delivered by our friend Debbie. Nalini enjoyed hers with a good portion of peanut butter and jelly, Mamae prefered Nutella (the German influence in my life), while Taj was definitely the most creative waffle decorator - peanut butter, Nutella, jelly and yoghurt, all in one.

This posting has to end with a quick thank you note to all of our dear friends who have been amazingly helpful to our family with food, cleaning help and baby sitting time. They say it takes a whole village to raise a child (or two, or three). I certainly can testify that getting the help of very engaged friends has been making all the difference in the last two weeks. How lucky for us to belong to such a wonderful circle of friends!
