Taj's and Lola's first road trip - part II

On the way to the Sequoia National Park, we got to spend the night in the beautiful town of Coalinga (aka in the middle of nowhere!):

A description? Their website says the following:

Nestled in Pleasant Valley, at the edge of California's Coast Range Mountains, and surrounded by hills, ranches, and some of America's most productive agricultural land, Coalinga is ten miles west of Interstate 5, and sixty miles southwest of Fresno - California's sixth largest city.

But really, it consists of no more than one main road, one church, one motel and one gas station (lucky us, we were running out of gas after driving for hours without a single house in sight!).

Once we left the Range Mountains, the landscape became so pretty that we had to stop for a photo shoot:

After a lot of driving, we finally get to meet them - the largest, oldest living beings on Earth - the Sequoias:

They are really tall, those Sequoias:

This one fell down just seconds before we drove by - can you imagine having one of those falling on your head? :)
