With Ana blabbering in Portuguese around Nalini all of the time, it's no wonder that she now speaks quite a few Portuguese words, along with a good vocabulary in English as well. But she really surprised Ana and Jamila at the park the other day. She was standing on top of a ladder, and a 5-year old was trying to climb up. She felt she needed some help, so she offered her hand and said: "sobe, sobe!" (which means "climb up!" in Portuguese). As she noticed that the 5-year old was not reacting to her Portuguese, she immediately changed languages, and said: "up, up!".
Not bad... :)
