Growing up in a multilingual environment has its funny moments. When interacting with Taj these days, one sees clearly that he notices when you switch from one language to the other, and that he'll react to such a switch in language. The latter is not very surprising, since it is now babbling and learning the different phonemes for himself, paying a lot of attention to everything we say (literally!). The funny thing about it is that he'll laugh his head off whenever spoken to in German. He seems to find German words to be extremely funny, particularly if they contain an "r". His favorite words carry the f-r combination: Frosch (frog), frisch (fresh), Fritz, and the funniest of all, Frankreich (France).
Taj is the living proof that being multilingual is really a lot of fun!
