Maine Friday Night Art Walk

Friday Evenings in Portland there is an Art Walk put together by Portland's art galleries. Last night, despite of the freezing breeze, we - Jamila , Nalini, Ana, Anna T., Eitan and Emily - decided to check out Portland's art scene. At the end of the evening, we ended at The Space, a very nice venue for alternative art and shows. A few people were there appreciating the collection of pictures of the war in Iraq. Nalini walked around the gallery making some new friends - among those was a dog named Sparco. Sparco was very used to being among children, and Nalini spent most of the time chasing him. When she finally succeded, she petted him gently and gave him a hug. Everybody in the gallery stopped to watch that :).

Later that night, Ana was carrying Nalini in the Baby Bjorn, while someone got a little piece of art from the vending machine (yes - that's correct - an art vending machine!). Nalini really wanted to check out the purchased art, so she put pointed at it and, with her sweetest voice tone, asked: "May I"?. The woman laughed, and handed Nalini the little box, confessing: "She totally won me over".

It is really easy to make new friends when one goes out with Nalini!
